I tried my IR and night vision. Both damaged. At least the lenses were still intact.</p><p>The building hadn&#39;t been hit directly, that much was obvious. These old buildings were essentially an armoured shell, but the renovated interior hadn&#39;t been built with strength in mind. The shock-waves were enough to bring everything down on me.</p><p>It sounded like the bombing run had ended, clearing the way for the infantry. All IR-equipped, to flush out survivors like me. There was no hiding.
