            <description>    &lt;p&gt;A drabble I wrote in a LiveJournal post, that I&amp;#39;m intending to turn into some sort of short fiction.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;I peered out from my hiding place, straining my eyes to see in the darkness. I tried my IR and night vision. Both damaged. At least the lenses were still intact.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The building hadn&amp;#39;t been hit directly, that much was obvious. These old buildings were essentially an armoured shell, but the renovated interior hadn&amp;#39;t been built with strength in mind. The shock-waves were enough to bring everything down on me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It sounded like the bombing run had ended, clearing the way for the infantry. All IR-equipped, to flush out survivors like me. There was no hiding. I had to move.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;    &lt;p style=&quot;clear:both;&quot;&gt;
